I’m going to be really transparent here. My mind has been in so many other places and not one of those places has been decorating, painting or projects. I am still working, it is just a forced action right now instead of a delight and a joy. My heart has been so very heavy over two really huge things. I spend the majority of my day in worship and prayer while I do the things I need to do around the house. This is a very short season, I know, and this too shall pass.
Huge thing number one is my sweet friend Summer. She is hanging in there, fighting like you would not believe to be there for her kids. She has almost lost her life twice over the past few weeks and she keeps bouncing back. God is so good. We are all rallying around her and her family in prayer, praying for a complete miracle in her body. She has been in the hospital since August 27th trying to recover from major cancer surgery and now she is fighting a fungus in her blood, cancer in her lungs and an intestine that won’t wake up. We are claiming victory over these things. I think about her sweet husband and children and my heart and soul cries out to the Lord who created them all and sees the big picture for their lives. Summer continually reminds us all that “God is always good.” She is one amazing lady.
Huge thing number two is the direction of our beloved country and other countries around the world who are suffering from excessive debt and economic hardships, sorrow, grief and depression.
It is really clear what we need to do: PRAY
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Several of you sweet people have emailed to check on me because I am not posting as often as I normally do. I just wanted to let you know what was on my heart and where my mind has been.
We would covet your continued prayers for Summer. Lori, one of Summer’s friends, posted this on her Facebook page. Will you please read it and join with us in the unified prayer?
An awesome, spirit-filled, incredible woman of faith and prayer, Kim Haden, posted this on Facebook today and I am requesting on behalf of Summer that you join in and agree with us in her earthly healing!
It dawned on me the power in unity, that’s why I put together this prayer so that we are all in one accord on Summer’s behalf. It’s not over til it’s over. Until then we stand and fight. Before any football game the players are given a victory speech before they hit the field. The same is true for prayer warriors, we should never go into warfare prayer feeling defeated.
This is not something to be prayed lightly or because it sounds good, ask the Holy Spirit. Strengthen yourself in the Lord first, through worship and remind yourself who God is, how great He is and all that He is capable of. Do these things out loud!
Next be sure and repent of any sin in your life, leave no door open. Pray or read out loud Ephesians 6 putting on God’s whole armour. The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shodding your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking up the shield of faith, sword of the spirit and putting on the helmet of salvation. I like to envision a warrior ready for battle. They always have on an undergarment which is love. Next apply the blood of Jesus over you and your loved ones lives. I like to pause and take communion at this point. There is power in the blood of Jesus! You can take communion at home by yourself or with your family. If you don’t have something red, just bless and sanctify whatever it is. God sees our hearts.
Please read and pray all of this out loud.
Hebrews 5:7 Who in days of His flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto to Him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared.
Death was defeated the day Jesus rose from the dead. The resurrection morning marked the defeat of death. As believers we are not to fear death.
(I Cor 15:54-56) God wields power over death.
Ps 118:17 I shall not die, but live and declare the works of God.
Ps. 91:16 God has promised He will satisfy us with a long life.
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.
Father we thank You for who You are in Summer’s life. That she knows You! Father she has said this is for Your glory and purpose. So with grateful hearts for her life, we cry out on her behalf.
We pray Jesus resurrection power come on her body now, in the mighty name of Jesus!
We say she breathes in the life of God and rejects every spirit of death in the name of Jesus!
Father let Your creative power operate fresh in every area of her body in the name of Jesus!
Father let the fire of the Holy Ghost enter into her bloodstream and cleanse her system in the name of Jesus!
Let every agent of sickness die, in the name of Jesus!
Hidden sicknesses, disappear now, in the name of Jesus!
Let her blood be transfused with the blood of Jesus!
Every internal disorder in her body, receive order, in the name of Jesus!
Every infirmity come out with all their roots, in the name of Jesus!
Every dead organ in her body receive life, in the name of Jesus!
We seal this with the blood of Jesus!
I John 5:4 Whosoever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith. Summer WINS!”
And Lastly, I want to leave you with this incredible song. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending our church’s annual women’s conference with special guest Darlene Zschech who lead our worship. We also were able to enjoy being a part of her live recording that night which also happened at our church. She shared with us her strong convictions to write and record songs that remind us who is the Victor. His name is Jesus and in the end, we all win. No matter what we face today, we have already overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony. I personally recorded this song but parts of it were cut off, so I snagged the one from the Joyce Myer conference a couple of weeks ago. I hope you enjoy it. I believe it is going to be a number one when it hits iTunes!
And I PROMISE, I will be back this week with some new things. In the pipeline are milk paint projects, my finished master bedroom, more curb appeal, and a series on how to have a successful garage sale. I hope you have a great week!
