Two weeks of all day long and into the morning hours, designing and redirecting this blog has taken its tole on me. I am so sleepy and ready for a day or two of catch up. I am not totally done. You may notice I don’t have my pages quite set up correctly or a centered navigation bar. I would love a cute little custom nav bar but I am at a loss on how to create one. I have a lot of tweaking to do over the next month but I feel like I can at least use my blog here. I am grateful to Suhas Sharma who has held my hand through the back-end of this. If you need a good plug-in to use to move to WordPress, I highly recommend the free SEO blogger to WordPress plug-in he created. He has been so helpful. Once I can jot down my thoughts and think clearly, I am going to write a post about my journey to WordPress. I know it is a very scary thing, I am still scared to death. I am scared you are not going to get this post in your feed as we speak! So, will you all do me a HUGE favor and leave me a comment telling me I was in your feed today? That would make my day.
On top of all of this blog nonsense, I took one afternoon to take my fixture piece to Homewood Antiques that will house my milk paint for sale. Miss Mustard Seed has done an outstanding job with it all and the packaging is fantastic. She has already put together some tutorials on how to mix the paint and apply it. I will be doing some here as well.
While I was at the store, I took quite a few pictures for Homewood’s blog. They have so many new outdoor pieces and a ton of doors in stock. I particularly heart these barn type doors. These are so fabulous on rail systems indoors.
Don’t you love this chair? Someone painted the bird’s nest on canvas and upholstered it to the chair. I LOVE it.
Thank you all for baring with me as I make this transition. I hope to start furniture makeovers and video tutorials really soon!

Hi Kelly, I am pretty sure I have always received your posts in my google reader via google friend connect, and I still saw this

Thanks B! Miss you girl!

Received via email successfully. Don’t feel bad. I want to start a blog , in fact, I am still gathering details, details, details. I am not familiar with blog terminology but I am learning every day . Your blog is lovely. In Miss Mustard Seed blog , there are doors or shutters she uses at home, I realize how it creates beauty at home. I hope to find some doors or shutters for my home . These barn doors are lovely too.
I always receive your posts through Google Friend connect and Google Reader. I got the post you set up on Blogger that said to come here. I’m adding your new address to my google reader now. You have done such a great job setting everything up. The blog looks great- congratulations on the move!
Oh YAY! Cortney! I am so glad you did. You guys are the ones I was most worried about. I wish they would just let you bring the whole GFC over! It stinks they got rid of that for wordpress. Thanks so much for letting me know!
I got your emails and was able to connect….blog looks great!
Got it!

Thanks my friend. I got your email today. I have a lot to share about the switch over!! I am hoping to post about it soon…..as soon as my brain rests:)
I got your email today. thanks for sharing!
Best of luck on wordpress – just to let you know that it took a while to load, but perhaps that is because I live in the depths of South West France!
Denise, Thank you for letting me know this. I thought the same thing. I am having someone check it out for me:)
You are a better woman than I! After two months of very little progress towards a transfer to WP, my hubs and I hired a designer to upgrade and do the transfer.
I still have quite a bit to do on my part, naturally, but at least all the road-blocks (gah!) are taken care of!
The site looks great, btw!
Thanks Jami! Good luck with your transfer!
