Well, we are finally home from our magic bubble, that is Disney, and back into the real world! That place really is magic when you are there. Nothing else really mattered for the whole week except for loving on our kiddos and each other. I think we were all bummed to have to come home! However, it made coming home a lot better knowing I would be able to get my hands on the B-Metro Magazine. I had a blast helping my friends style this GORGEOUS home that belongs to my sweet friend Rachel. Paula Coldiron from twoellie blog made the magic happen. She did a marvelous job making everything perfect. Paula has another view of our friend Rachel’s home on her blog. We actually styled her home in a neutral, rustic theme for the magazine but she doesn’t decorate for Christmas that way. Her girls have a growing Radco ornament collection and the color and whimsy of the ornaments follow the decor all over the home. It is so much fun. You can see that post here.
For the photo shoot, I had the privilege of decorating the mirror over the fireplace with sheet music wreaths made by my 12-year-old, and provide all of the antlers, feathers, ironstone pitchers, mercury glass, ornaments and birch trees from my booth at Homewood Antiques as well as from my personal collection. I also made the bow on top of the tree and did the bows for the front door.
Two of my kiddos are in this picture. The blurred one reaching over the table ( she was not happy about that, HA!) and the cute pig tailed kid on the end. They had just as much fun as I did!
I am pretty sure Rachel may kill me about right now, but I LOVE this picture they took of my beautiful friend and her sweet dog Sasha. Isn’t she beautiful? She is, inside and out.
So there you have it, my first little bit of press. It was pretty fun to see my name and my blog in print in our local magazine. Thank you Paula, Rachel, Graham and B-Metro for letting me be a part of such fun!
