It’s amazing how fast that holiday’s fly in and fly out of here. I can’t believe thanksgiving is already over and Christmas is upon us.
Although my dining room was, and is, still not the way that I want it to be, I was able to make it work with some chairs that I had in my furniture stash for the store.
I had a very tight budget so nothing new was added to my table. I used a piece of burlap for the runner and some silk place mats that I have had for years but never used. My centerpiece was a bouquet of grocery store flowers that I picked up for 5.99. I took them apart and re arranged them in my place card vases as well as in a glass vase sitting on a 5.00 piece of ironstone from a yard sale.
You may remember it’s humble beginnings as a very dated 1970s dresser……..
Isn’t it amazing what a little paint can do?
Layer upon layer, I am slowly getting my house put back together. Now, if I could just win the lottery to get new kitchen cabinets and a bathroom gut…………………
We are putting up our tree today as we watch the Tide and the Tigers duke it out on the plains. It’s going to be a slaughter I am afraid. Oh well…..War Eagle anyway!
Have a great Saturday!
