One of the biggest pieces of furniture that I felt that we were missing in our family room was a coffee table. I recently bought one from a friend for 30.00. I loved the size, I loved the shape and it resembled a coffee table that I found online at Pottery Barn with a light bottom, zinc top and chunky legs, seen below.

Here is what my table looked like before………….

And here is what it looks like finished in my family room with a few close ups.

So here is the deal. I wasn’t sure how well this would be received but I did take notes and pictures to make a video tutorial for this finish if you are interested. Unlike the video I promised earlier with the crackle tex, this finish is solely mine and belongs to me, Restore Interiors LLC. So I can make a video if I want to;) I am still waiting on to go ahead for the french dresser tutorial but when I know something I will let you know. So what do you think? Is this something you would want to know how to do? Y’all let me know in the comments. Happy Thursday!

I just sat down to read about faux zinc finish, and here you were talking about it. I want to know what you did…I have a small chest that needs some love. FYI – I’m glad I found your blog. I’m a friend of Summer’s from AU and I have no idea how I found it. I am thinking I met you when COTH launched here.
Great looking table. I would love to see a video.
Please share your secret with us. We won’t tell anyone. You are an inspiration.
Yes, do tell. Your coffee table looks amazing!
Kelli your zinc finish is awesome! I’d love to see the video!! Thanx for sharing!! Continuing to pray for Summer ~ Shelly
Yes, please.
This is so cool! I once did a faux copper top table for a client. Unfortunately I probably won’t ever be able to do it again since I kinda did it on the fly
I had no idea it was going to turn out so beautifully! It was a “let’s try this and….” sort of thing. But it truly looks like burnished copper. She loved it and so did I
Love the video and this is now on my To Do list, (which is quite long). We need a coffee table as well and I love the look. The best part is taking a Pottery Barn idea and turning it into an affordable and fun project that looks great.
Yes I would love to see a video! Thanks for sharing.
I love what you did with your table! I would like to know how to do this. Please e-mail the video or directions to me. Thanks!
can you tell me does it have a sheen to it ? so that it gives the impression of metal. I cannot tell from the photo’s if the metalic paint in your recipe gives it that nice hint of metal. I am hoping so. your’s is the best one yet for the faux zinc look! Thanks!
