FRIDAYS FAVORITE FINDS

If I could pick any neighborhood in my city to live in, it would be the Preserve. Every home is uniquely different as opposed to the majority of the cookie cutter homes they are building around here. I live in the suburbs out skirting the “magic city” Birmingham. Some of the houses in the Preserve are the closest you can get to “farmhouse” style without living outside the city.

I was fortunate enough to luck out on a garage sale there today where I scored one of my most favorite things…. an antique french enamel ware bucket that is marked. It is in pristine shape and a great color too!

It looks great with my new garden seed sack pillow. I was trying to think of things I could use it for.  I was thinking plants, iced drinks and waters for parties. Do you guys have any ideas?

Another favorite find was this peach nectar honey from a local farmer. Yummo….this stuff is amazing. I bought it for my oldest for her allergies but I can’t keep my spoon out of it. Doesn’t it look delicious?

At the same sale, I bought a custom hall tree piece made from a vintage shutter. It has some weathering on it from sitting outside, but once it’s cleaned up and painted it will be amazing. I’m picking it up tomorrow because I didn’t have a big enough vehicle. I need a truck! Honda’s are not  meant for hauling furniture.  Fortunately I live next door to my sweet daddy who is going to help me pick it up in the morning. I’ll post pictures when I get it.
Until tomorrow…..I’m off to watch WHEN IN ROME with the hubs.

  1. Your new enamel wear bucket looks like a great bucket for Ice when you host a Summer BBQ, but for now, the Fern looks gorgeous. That was nice little visit to the South for me, thanks!
