FROM DEATH TO LIFE

I have been anxiously awaiting for this video to be posted. This is the VERY reason this blog was started. JESUS. What he did this past weekend over 2000 years ago, not only saved me from a destructive life but also healed me after the loss of a child. For those of you who have been reading this blog for a while, you know, this is the very meaning behind, Restore Interiors. While I was restoring an old broken buffet, God began to mend my heart. You can read my story on my about me page. As I sat in church this weekend watching this video, some of these people whom I personally know, I was excited to say the least when they used a local artist who takes junk out of a garbage heap and makes beautiful works of art from them.

I thought of my good friend Donna, aka Funky Junk Interiors, and I thought about most of you who love to see something unimportant and cast away for garbage come back to life again with purpose and meaning. This video, needless to say brought tears to my eyes as I watched the great “Restorer” take these broken lives and make them new. Please watch this and as you do, remember how much you are loved. Remember that your creator seeks you just as you are. You don’t have to get your junk together before you go to God. He is already looking for you and loves you and accepts you just the way that you are. The junk.. well, we all have it. Let him help you fix it, one baby step and a time. I promise he will. And in the end, your junk will be a living testimony to the healing power of your Savior. May God richly bless you today. I am praying for each of you!

  1. Thank you for posting this, Kelli.

  2. what a beautiful post and message. I have been following your blog for some time and never knew about losing your child. I do know that you love the lord though! Last week my twin sister lost her child ( my 22 year niece) in a tragic car accident. It is because of God and my love for him as well, that I will heal and so will my sister. I will head to your about page to learn more of what I don’t know about you.

Thank you for sharing the video, Kelli, and opening up about your life and what the Lord has done for you. So many can feel so alone in their lives, struggling, thinking they are the only one going through a certain bad situation and feeling there is no way out. But as you and I both know, nothing is impossible for God. Nothing! It’s my job to trust Him and turn my life over to him, let Him call the shots. After all, He IS God! How prideful and self righteous I was, thinking I knew more about running my life than the God of the universe. I’m just so grateful Jesus NEVER gives up on us. He is so gracious and desires a good life for all of us. Thanks again for sharing your story. God Bless you and your family!

  4. Hi Kelli, It is nice to know about your healing process and that you went through the same emotions that I did as you were creating. I am so sorry about all the loss you have experienced, then I am overjoyed what God has done with it. I am the welding artist in the aforementioned video. You can read about my testimony on http://www.crossesbycatherine.com if you find the time and want to. I think it would be an amazing thing to have a circle of artist friends who look at life this way. So enjoyed reading your blog today!
