One of my favorite things to buy at Christmas is Hobby Lobby’s wrapping paper. Most of the time it’s 50% off and you get 100 square feet of thick, nice paper for 4 bucks. The best part about it is that it can be used all year around! You get a two-fer! Just because it is in the Christmas section doesn’t mean it has to be Christmas. One of the cutest papers I bought was this pink and white polka dot. I am going to doll it up for Christmas and it matches my tree perfectly, but guess what? We went to a princess party this weekend and I used it to wrap up the royal present. The bow on top was made exactly the way I showed you for Christmas bows in my burlap bow tutorial. I just used white tulle and turquoise ribbon also purchased in the Christmas section, 50% off at Hobby Lobby. We slipped in a wand and it was fit for a princess.
Think outside the box when the Christmas stuff starts going 60-90% off after Christmas. Red Christmas candy can be frozen to be re packaged at Valentines day etc… etc…..
If you follow me on Instagram, my apologies, you have already seen some of these. But for those of you who have not, here are more of the girl’s vintage Christmas decorations mixed with a little new. I love the hot pinks, the turquoise and white, the green and purple, AH, I love it all. It matches nothing in my house but it’s fun and the girls love it. My 12-year-old made the Fa-La-La-La-La canvas and she is so proud of it. I think it’s great.
I am so hoping the B-Metro magazine comes out today! I am dying to show you those pictures and my other tree!
Also, if you have not voted for my room yet on Barnett Furniture’s Facebook page, I would so greatly appreciate it. I am losing really bad;) I need about 300 more votes to catch up! There are thousands of you guys, so I know it can be done. The voting ends on the 15th. Here is the link to vote for my room on Facebook.
