After church today, mom, my sister and I decided to take the kids to the outlet mall to do a little Christmas shopping. I don’t know why I think I can get anything like that accomplished with a 3 year old who has had no nap and a 10 year old who wants everything she sees. Genius. I did get a few little things taken care of, enjoyed my time with my sister and my mom and walked until my feet felt like they were going to fall off. It was also nice not having to fight the mall crowds AND to have to figure out the best way to avoid the crazy kiosk people trying to moisten my hands with Dead Sea salt or try and curl my kids hair. I have found the best defense mechanism is to just avoid eye contact and to teach your kids to do the same:0) Terrible….I know….
I am just one of those who feels like if I get sucked in, I won’t want to hurt their feelings after their hour long pitch and I’ll end up with a bag full of clip on hair extensions and really expensive hand cream. That IS why they do that right???
I did finish decorating my tree late last night but when I got home today to take a few pictures to show you it was too dark! I have no natural light in my living area. I’m going to try again tomorrow. I did get a few good ones of some of the accessories and part of the tree.
I got these precious gold angels for a gift several years ago but I only got two. A few months ago I was out garage “sailing” and I found the big one in the center!! I had to pay 15.00 for it
but this one completed my set and it was worth every penny! It had it’s original 56.00 price tag still attached which made it feel a little better.
Here is a tiny sneak peak of the top of my crazy tree. I LOVE this sign that I plopped right in the center to show off the real meaning of Christmas.
And what’s the Christmas season without a little JOY? I am praying that this Holiday season is filled with so much JOY for you all that you will not be able to contain it! Thank you for reading!! I treasure all of you…….
