I know….I have not blogged since Thursday. I have literally been working on this baby in ALL of my spare time. This piece has taken me longer than any piece I have ever done, but I can say, it is by far my favorite and it was worth every hour spent. I saw right through this dated 70’s piece. It is a Heritage Dresser, dovetailed drawers in pristine condition and it’s on rollers that are hidden underneath. The curvature and the detail of this dresser was perfect for where I needed it to go.
It is playing a different role in my house. Instead of a dresser, my flat screen is going to be mounted over it and all of the components tucked neatly inside.
I was so determined to get this done quickly, I had it hanging out in my kitchen, right in my way. I made myself look at it.
When I first bought this piece, I thought I would need to replace the hardware. No way! This hardware is drop dead gorgeous and the perfect patina for this piece. Don’t you love the key hole?
I am in love….I have not decorated it yet, but I couldn’t wait to show it to you.
What do you think??
