I know I said that I was going to show you more pictures from Urban Suburban but they turned out terrible. I learned some new things about my camera last night, practiced a little bit with some of the settings and will re attempt them tomorrow. Hopefully the letters and curtains will be hung and the pictures will be better! The whole family is going to venture down there with me in the morning.
I spent the day working on trading in my Accord for an Odyssey. It’s not new, but it’s new to me and I am blessed to have it to help me haul kids and furniture around. Because I didn’t work today, I was combing through my pictures trying to find something to share. I totally forgot to show you the little French Desk I finished for sweet Miss Jenny.
This desk was painted with Emile Annie Sloane Chalk paint. I used a tinted clear wax combining Graphite Annie Sloane chalk paint with the clear soft wax. All you need to do to achieve this is scoop out some clear wax in a disposable cup or bowl. Slowly add paint, only about a teaspoon, until you get the color you want. It’s easy and a great way to customize a piece. It gave it an aged look but the color was subtle. I love it with her little Pier One chair and ruffle pillow.
